Welcome! The For the Future Texas Senate District 27 Candidate Forum is part of a series of nonpartisan education candidate events that Raise Your Hand Texas will be hosting across the state through the 2022 elections. 

Raise Your Hand Texas is partnering with the Greater Harlingen Chamber of Commerce to offer this forum.

The candidates for this race are:

• Morgan LaMantia (D)

• Salomon Torres (D)

• Adam Hinojosa (R)

• Israel Salinas (R)

• Raul Torres (R)

The forum will begin at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 24, 2022.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, in-person audience attendance will be limited to 50 people. The forum will be live-streamed via Facebook Live on the Raise Your Hand Texas Advocate - South Texas page for those who prefer to join us virtually. 

Like all For the Future events, this will be an issue-focused conversation including questions on statewide and local topics. All candidates for Senate District 27 are invited to participate, and Raise Your Hand Texas will not endorse candidates. Inclusion in this list of candidates does not necessarily denote confirmation of attendance.
